Stakeholders Engagement
HSCL ACE 3 team organized a Planning Meeting on 3 days training of indigenous Midwives, PMTCT FP, CBO PMTCT FP, on ethical HIV testing and referral networking held at SMoH SOML conference hall on 4th November 2022 in Zamfara state. The objective of the meeting was to conduct effective planning for the said activity to achieve the expected goals. Some action points developed for cPMTCT and AP3 during the planning meeting include: The Traditional Birth Centre accepting delivery or ANC services (there are minimum requirement that will determine capacity to be able to provide services) must be registered in the SMOH; All TBA’s must have a tool to document all the pregnant women they referred from the community to the facility; To request data for the total number of deliveries per month from TBC’s; To train TBA’s on how to make referrals from community to the facility; To create WhatsApp group for cPMTCT; To offer genealogy testing for every woman diagnosed HIV positive; To provide POC in hard-to-reach area.
