Oluwatosin is a Medical Doctor and holds a Master's in Business Administration. He is a Health Financing specialist with over 15 years' experience in the health insurance industry. He has masterminded the set up and operational management of several health prepayment schemes across Nigeria.

Oluwatosin has extensive experience in the health financing space in Nigeria. His core competences include medical operations, marketing and managerial services.

At HSCL, he leads the Health Financing unit of the firm where he provides strategic and managerial oversight of the implementation of donor-supported HCF projects across several Nigerian states. He currently manages a Demand-Side Financing (DSF) project supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in Kaduna and Niger states as well as World Bank supported Performance-Based Financing project in Borno state. He also oversees the Strategic Purchasing for Family Planning (SP4FP) Project in Lagos state. Also founded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Before joining HSCL, Oluwatosin led several efforts to drive Nigeria closer to Universal Health Coverage through the design and implementation of innovative financing mechanisms to ensure equitable access to high quality health care especially by the most vulnerable in Nigeria. Of note, was the key role he played in setting up community-based health insurance schemes in Bayelsa, Oyo and Kwara states.

He has also led several research initiatives to generate evidence to support the design of health financing solutions with potential for lasting impact.
