About

Alozie is a qualified Physician, a Public Health expert, and a Project Management practitioner. He has over 25 years' operational and management level experience in Public Health. This experience has spanned across local and international health and development settings.

He is a Medical Doctor with a medical degree from the University of Nigeria Nsukka with distinction, a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Lagos, Fellow of the West African College of Physicians, and an Executive MBA in view from the Lagos Business School. He has had several other trainings in Public Health and in Public Health management and leadership including the reputed Leadership and Management training from the Thunderbird School of Public Management in Switzerland.

As a dynamic and results-focused Public Health Expert, Alozie has applied his skills in improving access to health services on a significant scale across different domains that include Clinical Care Services, Management of Public Health programmes, Health Systems Strengthening, Health Financing, Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning.

His work experience includes several leadership positions in international organizations including the World Health Organization, the US-CDC GAP in Nigeria, the US-DOD HIV program in Nigeria, the Global Fund in Geneva, UNICEF, UNDP, and UNAIDS.

Alozie has been involved as an international health and development expert and has supported several National Health Systems by providing leadership on several strategy development initiatives including the development of the National HIV/AIDS strategy (Nigeria), the President’s Comprehensive Response Plan for HIV/AIDS in Nigeria, Global Fund country funding requests and health strategies (South Sudan, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Sierra Leone, Zanzibar, Mauritius, Lesotho, Nigeria) that have attracted over US$2 billion to these countries over the past 5 years.

Alozie is currently the Managing Partner and a Board Member of HSCL.
