Private sector engagement is crucial in expanding and sustaining effective responses to HIV the epidemic. By leveraging corporate resources, expertise, and innovation, private companies can significantly enhance funding, improve service delivery, and drive awareness campaigns.
Private sector partnerships can lead to increased health systems financing through direct donations, sponsorships, and matched funding initiatives. Additionally, companies can contribute in-kind resources, such as technology and logistical support, that are essential for efficient program implementation.
Health Systems Consult Limited (HSCL) ACE 3 recently held a stakeholder engagement meeting with private sector actors in Sokoto. The meeting also opened opportunities for knowledge exchange and capacity building, fostering a collaborative approach that integrates diverse skills and perspectives.
This multi-faceted involvement not only amplifies the impact of HIV programs but also promotes shared responsibility and sustainability in the fight against the virus.
Participants at the meet included the President, Sokoto Chambers of Commerce, Mines, Industries and Agriculture (SOCCIMA), Muazu Yakubu, Director General of SOCCIMA, Haliru Maruda and other representatives of the organized private sector.
