Joint Supportive supervision to ACE-3 Facilities in Sokoto State
Sokoto state ACE-3 Project team in collaboration with the State’s Agency for Control of AIDS (SACA) conducted a joint-supportive supervision to Comprehensive Health Centre Sanyinna, Maryam Abacha women and Children hospital and Women and Children Welfare clinic to review the implementation of PMTCT program activities at those facilities. This activity served as an avenue for onsite mentoring of the PMTCT focal persons, mentor-mothers and other key personnel involved in service provision on the importance of Viral load sample collection for pregnant women at 32-36 weeks of gestational age and sample collection for HIV-exposed infants within 72hours of delivery to facilitate Early Infant Diagnosis (EID).
